My son Kaden did not attend a childcare center for the first three years of his life due to the rising cost of quality childcare and extremely long enrollment waiting list. However, I wanted to ensure that he was developmentally and academically on track when a space become available at a childcare center.

Kaden spent most of his preschool years with my mother who had flexibility in her work schedule to babysit Kaden during the day. My mother grew up in an era where life was simple- no technology, just your imagination and the elements within your community.

My mother would introduce Kaden to practical task such as counting the number of snails that they would find in her garden or reading and following the steps to make a new recipes. I noticed how Kaden would retain information and how eager he’d become to research the career that was associated with the task. That’s when I had my light bulb moment!

I have over 15 years of Early Childhood Education experience as a educator, childcare provider, and a parent. I combined my mothers practices, my sons natural love of Community and Civics and developed Blooprint Imaginative Play™
